What is SpiegelGardens?

We are a new Brighton Fringe Festival site for 2025, born out of the much loved and established Brighton Spiegeltent. With the Old Steine out of action for 2025, the long-standing set up is unable to run in its normal form for this year. However Laine Pub Company, along with a collection of Brighton Spiegeltent crew, will be moving up the road  to operate this new and progressive setup on Victoria Gardens North.

The site’s main show venue will be the WundaBarn, hosting over 90 shows across 31 days. Alongside this, the familiar Spiegelpub & GreenHaus (not to mention the city’s best beer garden) will be up and running, allowing visitors to sit amongst the trees in the May sunshine. The new Spotlight bandstand will act as a central point, hosting both programmed and pop-up performances in what promises to be a stunning setting...along with a few more lovely bars, food traders and hidden secrets. With plenty to do it’s a chance to hang out in the sunshine, see the people you only ever seem to see at Spiegel and be thoroughly entertained.

When is SpiegelGardens?

In 2025, SpiegelGardens runs 2 May – 1 June. We are open every day.

What are your opening hours?

Mon - Wed: 11am-00.30am

Thurs – Sat: 11am-2am

Sun: 11am-00.30am (Sun Bank Hols: 11am-2am)

Where is Brighton Spiegeltent and how do I get there?

We’re on Valley Gardens North. The Main entrance is opposite the North Laine Brewhouse. We’re a short walk from the North Laine or a 10 min walk from the city centre.

Can I come and look around for free?

Yes! You can come and visit our site, bars, food stalls and explore for free! Come and enjoy a lovely drink, grab a bite to eat, and have a look around! It’s a great way to decide which show to see or just to have a good time out.

How much are tickets to see shows at Brighton SpiegelGardens?

Ticket prices vary by show, but we do our best to make the shows great value and, given the variety of other fun stuff going on across the site, it’s a one stop shop for a great day and night out.

How can I buy tickets for a show?

You can buy tickets through the Brighton Fringe website https://www.brightonfringe.org/ or in person at our box office on site!

Check out our website for specific shows at Wundabarn, Spotlight or Spiegelpub – www.spiegelgardens.co.uk

Do I need to print my tickets?

Nope! The email you’ll be sent when you book will have a QR code on it. This is your ticket, and our Front of House staff will check this and scan it to allow you entry to a venue to see a show. You can print the ticket if that’s your preference, just make sure we can scan the QR code.

If you do not have an email address, please visit our in-person box office on site and the team can help you.

Can I collect my tickets from the box office?

Yes, at key points – usually around 30mins before the first show of the day and  until 30 mins after the last show starts – but don't need to. All tickets purchased via our website are sent electronically to your email and can then be printed or displayed on your mobile phone.

I can't come to the performance I booked anymore. Can I get a refund?

Refunds are not available unless the Event is cancelled, postponed or if the Event is materially changed. Please see Brighton Fringe terms and conditions for further details.

Can I buy a ticket on the door?

Yes, subject to availability although we would always recommend purchasing your tickets as early as possible to avoid disappointment.

 Do you allow latecomers?

Yes, we allow for latecomer entry, so all our shows are fine to attend even if you are running a bit late. Latecomers may have to wait for an appropriate moment to be admitted. Re-admittance is always guaranteed, for some shows you may be given a stamp or wristband for re-entry.

Can I get a free carer ticket?

There is the option to select Accessible + Carer ticket for all shows at our venues. We are a fully accessible site, with both venues being accessible too and we want our site and shows to be a place for everyone.

If I am seeing a show with a group, can we arrive separately?

We recommend you arrive with your whole group. But we know this can be tricky sometimes so we can usually check tickets separately and make sure you all get in even if you arrive at different times. Although you may have to save some seats!

What time should I arrive?

We recommend arriving around 30 minutes before your show’s scheduled start time. This gives you time to grab some food and drinks, get in the queue and have your tickets checked.

Can you reserve seats or is their allocated seating?

All seating is unreserved, and we work on a first come first served basis. If you need assistance make yourself known to our Front of House staff at the venue. We always aim to assist anyone with additional needs first, then general admission ticket holders.

Can I take photos during a show?

Yep! Unless told otherwise by staff or signage and no flash photography.

Can I book a table in the bars, site, or venues?

We don’t usually do reservations or bookings, but we like to facilitate people’s fun and celebrations so if you are after something specific, there is no harm in asking. Just email

Do you sell food and drink? And can we take them into the venues?

Yes! We have a variety of tasty food from local street food vendors. We have 5 bars - The Spiegelpub, GreenHaus, The Airstream, Boxbar and a full bar inside the WundaBarn itself.

Do you have toilets?

We have toilets on site for everyone to use, including an accessible toilets and baby changing facilities.

These are accessible from both ends of the site.

Longer shows have intervals to give you time for toilets breaks and food & drink top ups.

I know the site can sometimes get busy and loud; do you have any quieter areas?

We’re a new site, but we have planned around having a more relaxed atmosphere on the south side of the site by the WundaBarn, stretch tent and Airstream.

Do you have anything going on in the Gardens or Pub?

We have DJs in Spiegelpub 4-5 nights per week – day and night at the weekend, free Fringe City performers and pop up shows on the Spotlight bandstand and various walkabout performances and goings on throughout the month in the Gardens.

Can we smoke/vape?

You cannot smoke/vape inside any of the venues or covered areas. You can smoke/vape outside in the garden areas.

Are dogs allowed?

Guide/Assistance dogs are allowed on site and in venues but must always be kept on the lead. Otherwise it is a condition of the Council Licence that no dogs are allowed on site.

How late can under 18s stay at Brighton SpiegelGardens?

Under 18s can be on site until 8pm. If they have a ticket for a show starting after this they may stay accompanied by an adult and leave once the show ends.

How can I contact someone for further information or questions?

Contact via website spiegelgardens.co.uk

Do I need to buy a ticket for my baby?
